The first Pink Saturday in the province of Zeeland took place on Saturday 17 June. The event attracted more than 20,000 visitors to Goes. It was a great day where people from all over the Netherlands enjoyed the extensive and diverse program.
As the main sponsor, we look back with pride on an event where inclusion and diversity were central. A large group of Dow colleagues contributed to a successful day. They were there to party at the Roze Podium and to participate in the Rainbow Parade. The Parade started with the Floating Diva and passed several squares. At the information market, the Dow team discussed diversity and inclusion with interested parties. And during a visit to our Dow stand, visitors received rainbow sunglasses and a cool tattoo.
“Celebrating Pride Month on Pink Saturday was an opportunity to reaffirm how we are taking actions to make a difference and support the LGBTQA+ community across our organization and beyond,” said Anna Paola Barbato, EMEAI Talent Marketing Specialist at Dow in Terneuzen. "It was a pleasure to exchange ideas with visitors from all over the Netherlands and to see how positively surprised they were about Dow and the way we incorporate inclusion into everything we do."
Luca Senis, Logistics Director, adds: “Pink Saturday in Goes was a turning point for the region on its way to a more inclusive, diverse and equitable society in which gender and sexual orientation differences become irrelevant. Dow's presence and sponsorship of the event was an important statement in celebrating our company's inclusive culture."
